Excuse my bad english

Im running a Icecas2 2.3.1 on a Debian 3.1 (stable/sarge) machine.
If i try to get on the status Page it displays "Could not parse XSLT file".

XSLT packages are installed and newest versions.

Can anyone help?

Hm, i dont know what this means:

WARN xslt/xslt_get_stylesheet Error checking for stylesheet file "/usr/share/icecast2/web/status.xsl": Permission denied
EROR xslt/xslt_transform problem reading stylesheet "/usr/share/icecast2/web/status.xsl"

It means that the file /usr/share/icecast2/web/status.xsl cannot be read because icecast does not have the rights to access the file or a directory component of it. Check what user icecast runs as and then check the permissions/ownership of the file/dirtectories to that file.

icecast runs under user rolf an permissions/ownership of the file/directories is set well. Confused

The permission denied error is very clear in this case. icecast is not allowed to access some part of the path to that file. A simple test is as the user 'rolf', cat the full filename, you should get that error.

I had set rights in web/*.* but not in /usr/share/icecast/ Rolling Eyes

hi

thanks for ur reply.

i cannot fing out where the error log file is.

and while searching in directory i found two xml configuration files. >> icecast & icecast_shoutcast_compat & icecast_imal & icecast_urlauth .

i think i have made changes to icecast.xml via the server. do i nee to edit any other files.

hi,

i have now reinstalled the icecast server. this time i am not getting anything if it type the address http://00.00.000.000:8000 . just getting message Cannot find server. but my other streap on http://00.00.000.000:9000 is loading as normal.

why would that IP address work? You need to use a proper IP address that your system is allocated.

connection is rejected here, so either icecast isn't running, or a firewall is blocking access or port forwarding isn't setup
