Wont send fast enough?

Either Sam Broadcaster or IceCast are not sending data fast enough cause i has to rebuffer way to fast like 5 seconds.

icecast can feed a fast stream easily but without any information about the issue it's hard to proceed. sam could be sending too slowly or your network link could be max'd out.

it's impossible to suggest tests to do without knowing something about your setup. No platform, player, format, network structure has been specified, we don't know whether this problem is over a LAN, or over the internet. Do other players suffer the same thing, is there any playback at all. Things like this can help to show what we are dealing with.

I use SAM broadcaster, flash player and itunes, I think its everyone. not sure?

windows xp sp2, ntfs, server is ran on my home comp along with broadcaster

If the player is on the LAN then the ISP is not involved, but if the player is accessing your icecast through cox then upload limits could be kicking in. If you can prove that playback/bitrates are correct over the LAN or on the same machine then you know it's not the stream. Identifying the cause involves trying to isolate the components of the setup.

I cna say the problem got better but not good when I changed the connection set up on SAM to localhost from my ip.
