Icecast Streaming Media Server

I installed the icecast-server and icecast-client on my Debian, but there is no ices.conf, how can I set up the directory with the MP3 files???

I am also having the same trouble. Does anyone have ideas??

The packages we ship have examples which you can work from, but if the packages from a distribution don't install those then we can only say check our packages. After saying that though, usually they do install the files but maybe not in the place you are thinking of, you should be able to query the files that were installed.

I am still pretty new to linux........ What is the filed called? ices.xml or ices.conf..... I found it ok in icecast, just having a little finding it in ices. Thanks!!

For ices 0.4, the default name was ices.conf, with ices2, there is no assuption about the name as it is passed on the command line, but our samples have names like ices-playlist.xml.

I guess that is why I am having trouble. There is no file called ices.conf. I can only find ices.conf.dist and ices.conf.in. they are both located in /ices-0.4/conf/

I an running suse 10.0
