Hi,
finally the icecast2 server and ices2 is running propably on my mandriva 2007 system, but I have still massive problems with hardware configuraion on linux.

This is what I'm accustomed on Windows XP:
icecast2 server, foobar2000 0.9.4 as source client, oddsock plugin for fb2k

On linux I want to use Amarok as source client.

And this is the problem:
I want to config ices2 in this way, that only sounds played from Amarok will be streamed !!!
+ the behaviour like on windows (oddsock + fb2k), that volume changes on source client won't change volume of the stream

I use the standard oss-config xml-file from ices2, but it streams every sound from every player.
Code:

<input>
            <module>oss</module>
            <param name="rate">44100</param>
            <param name="channels">2</param>
            <param name="device">/dev/dsp</param>
            <!-- Read metadata (from stdin by default, or -->
            <!-- filename defined below (if the latter, only on SIGUSR1) -->
            <param name="metadata">1</param>
            <param name="metadatafilename">test</param>
        </input>

plz help

If you are limited by your soundcard dsp then you may want to look at JACK as the mechanism direct audio bwteen apps.
