Hi,

I want to know how can I create a radio station, but I want to keep the audio files in the internet server. I don't want to have a player uploading all the time on my PC

Is it possible with icecast?

The source client is responsible for creating the stream and therefore requires access to the original content but it does not have to reside on the same machine as icecast but it can if you want it to.

So I need to install and configure icecast in the server, and then install the source client.

The source client is like a player?

That link seems to refer to icecast 1, so the specifics are different but in general yes, the source client (which can be a player eg winamp/xmms with oddcast plugin) can be run remotely or locally to the icecast server (depending on the situation), other non-player type source clients eg ezstream/ices etc are often used for server installs as well.
