Dear All
I want to set up a live stream mp3 server using icecast2 ( soucre client will be simplecast )
problem is I cannot figure out the configuration file options in order to set up the server.
This is due to my language issues I really need some screen shots of what to do or a copy of a config file that is already up and riunning a server ..
written instructions are not much use to me ... I know this freaks some people out but I cannot assimilate the info ....
I can only learn from visual data so I hope you will understand.
If anyone would like to help the parameterssof my server would be
1 stream
max listeners 10
source client and server on same machine maybe remote source from time to time.
I understand the concept of web streaming as I already webcast using a remote server I just don't know how to set up a server on a PC !!
I will probably set this up using Windows version !!
Many thanks |

have had a thought !
Simple way to do this is to give you the helper the details that the source client needs to log on to the server and get you to show me where this relates to in config set up
Lets assume a hypothetical IP address for the server say 195.10.10.10
and the source client is at a remote location say 196.20.20.20
Ok
My source client is asking for an IP address
server port
password
mount point
Lets give example values
IP address obviously as server but how is this configured on file
server port is 8000
my password example is dyslexicgeek
my mount point example is /livegeek.mp3
I need to use real examples puting myserver etc does not register as
my way of interacting with xml files is very different to yours ... I dont see
some of the characters but I can recognise patterns ... long story ... |
